Belfort

This wallpainting is made in Forensic psychiatric center in Gent. It is a cooperation between the patients, the team and myself. The goal was to create a design that enriches the white walls of the hallways of different workshops and that tell a unique story of FPC Gent.
The style of the design has influences of street art and comic books. The main character is a dragon who lives on a tower of Belfort. He comes to visit FPC Gent where he learns to use woodworking tools and to create things. He is able to make a chair and he dreams of building a castle. He also takes care of his strength and condition by doing sports. There are several elements of Gent incorporated to honour the city Gent - Graslei, Belfort, Stadshal and Gravensteen.
the total size of the mural is about 80 square meters.
