Miniature paintings on oysters

Miniature paintings with acrylics on oysters. I have collected the shells during some of my walks along the shore of Yerserke, in Netherlands. Each shell has undergone a careful process of disinfection, washing, scrubbing and preparing for the paint layer. Paintings often include imitation of gold leaf in their design and gold paint for the decoration the edges.
